Why we render our own WebGL instead of reaching for a template
Every off-the-shelf 3D template is built for the median case, which means it’s built for nobody’s actual brief. We write our own renderer per project not to reinvent wheels for sport, but because the interesting 2% of any brief — the thing the client actually hired us for — always lives exactly where the template stops being customisable.
It costs us a slower week one. It’s the only reason week six ever looks like anything.
