Studio
Studio
Six people, three disciplines, one point of view.
Quire started as a two-person architecture practice in 2014. Ten years on we’re six — architects, an industrial designer, and one person whose actual title is “materials” — working across buildings, objects, and the identities that hold them together.
We don’t pitch three directions and let a client pick. We spend longer than most studios deciding what the right answer is, then we build that one, carefully, and we say why. It makes for a slower first meeting and, we think, a much better tenth year of owning the thing we made.
Most of our work comes from people who found us through something we built for someone else — a house, a chair, a mark on a bottle — and wrote to ask who did it. We keep the studio small on purpose so that’s still true.
